Assistant Science Educator
The South Florida Science Center is looking for an Assistant Science Educator to work with science education programs, planetarium programs and special events. This is a part time position (perfect for university students) that would include weekends and weekday night events. They would assist in the development and delivery of creative education programs, planetarium programs and table activities. Candidates should have completed a minimum two years of college in a science or education degree. They should have excellent oral communication skills and the ability to deal effectively and courteously with the general public. For more information, please contact email@example.com.
- Assistant Group Programs Coordinator: The South Florida Science Center is looking for an Assistant Group Programs Coordinator as a contact for sales and reservations of Science Center Camp and other education programs. This person will be responsible for data entry of camp reservations and prepare and update computerized reports and spreadsheets. This is a part time position of up to 24 hours a week. Candidates should have at least two years of clerical experience and a demonstrated ability with computers, office equipment, record-keeping and data-base management. The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium's internships offer hands on experience in a fun and professional setting. Interns work throughout the building on a wide variety of projects and tasks including everything from science education to behind-the-scenes projects.
Our internship program is designed to provide college students and recent graduates with the opportunity to gain a realistic in-depth view of a career path. Please note that many of the internships offered within the organization do not pay; however, if a stipend is offered to students it will be noted.
