Come visit the Science Center's Early Childhood program, where we make learning fun and exciting! 

Your child will be introduced to chemistry, biology, physics, and geology through play- based, hands-on activities that stimulate thought and teach cause and effect.  Young children learn through play, and each class provides an experience that is both educational and memorable!

Who: Children, ages 18 months to 4 years….and their mommy, daddy, grandparent, or caregiver.

Where: The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium’s Early Childhood Classroom.

 

Upcoming Sessions: 

"Little Naturalists" – Thursdays, January 11th, 2018 – February 15th, 2018  (6 class session)

What does a plant need to grow? How do birds make their nests? What are some of the different habitats that creatures call home? Learn all of this and more with your little naturalists as we explore the many wonders of nature! Sessions are infused with age-appropriate activities that challenge and entertain your child while sparking a love of learning about the world around them. Each class includes story-time, a thematic science activity, arts and crafts, and music and movement.

When: Once a week, from 9:15 - 10:30 AM (Sold Out) or 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM (Still available), for 6 consecutive weeks. Program cost is $85.00 for Museum Members and $100.00 for Non-Members. This cost is per child and parent pair.

 

 

"Prehistoric Pals" – Thursdays, March 1st, 2018 – April 12th, 2018  (6 class session - NO SESSION March 22nd)

Join us as we take a trip through time to discover the most amazing creatures that ever existed! Learn the difference between dinosaurs and pterosaurs, explore the extra-large creatures of the past such as man-sized dragonflies and the ocean-dwelling plesiosaurs, and meet some of our more recently extinct pals, like smilodons and mammoths! Sessions are infused with age-appropriate activities that challenge and entertain your child while sparking a love of learning about the world around them. Each class includes story-time, a thematic science activity, arts and crafts, and music and movement.

When: Once a week, from 9:15 - 10:30 AM or 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM, for 6 consecutive weeks (NO session March 22nd). Program cost is $85.00 for Museum Members and $100.00 for Non-Members. This cost is per child and parent pair.
