Come visit the Science Center's Early Childhood program, where we make learning fun and exciting! Your child will be introduced to chemistry, biology, physics, and geology through play-based, hands-on activities that stimulate thought and teach cause and effect.  Young children learn through play, and each class provides an experience that is both educational and memorable!

Who: Children, ages 18 months to 4 years….and their mommy, daddy, grandparent, or caregiver.

When: Once a week, from 10:00-11:15am , for 7 consecutive weeks. Program cost is $80.00 for Museum Members and $95.00 for Non-Members. This cost is per child and parent pair.

Where: The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium’s Early Childhood Classroom.

"Ocean Exploration" Wednesdays March 8th – April 26th, 2017 (No session March 22nd)

Join us as we explore the biggest body of water on our planet, the Ocean! We will make crafty coral, explore shark jaws and teeth, enjoy a special touch tank demonstration, and learn about why it’s important to protect our oceans! Sessions are infused with age appropriate activities that challenge and entertain your child, while sparking a love of learning about the world around him or her. Each class includes story-time, a thematic science activity, free play structured by the week’s theme, arts and crafts, and music and movement.

 

"Animal Planet" Thursdays March 9th – April 27th, 2017 (No session March 23rd)

You and your little one are invited to join us as we explore the different groups of animals that call this planet home! Each week we explore a different group of creatures and what makes them so unique. Hold a creepy crawly insect in your hand, touch a hermit crab as we learn about crustaceans, and meet our very special reptile friend! Sessions are infused with age appropriate activities that challenge and entertain your child while sparking a love of learning about the world around him or her. Each class includes story-time, a thematic science activity, free play structured by the week’s theme, arts and crafts, and music and movement.
