Teacher STEM Open House

November 6th, 2018 8:30am - 3:00pm

The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is partnering with the Palm Beach Zoo and FAU Pine Jog Environmental Education Center for an exciting STEM professional development opportunity!



Visit the largest aquarium from Miami to Orlando, take a behind-the-scenes tour of the state-of-the-art zoo animal hospital, and participate in engaging eSTEM sessions. Professional Development Workshops to focus on STEMscopes basic navigation (level 1) training and advanced training (level 2).

This is a FREE event for K-12 teachers in Palm Beach County and all participants receive a complimentary lunch. All participants must register below.

  • Interactive STEM Professional Development Workshops: Learn Green Institute, Palm Beach Zoo behind-the-scenes animal hospital tours, and more! 

  • Explore the new Dinosaur Invasion blockbuster exhibit

Schedule of events:

  • Teachers check-in at 8:30aand explore a STEM Expo 

  • Professional Development Workshops from 9am-3pm

  • Keynote Speaker at 9:15am: Michael Fowler, VP Information Management, NextEra Energy Resources
