The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is offering a learning lab for students to have a clean and safe space to conduct their virtual classwork.
The STEM Learning Lab will provide each student with a sanitized learning space, WI-FI connection, and technical support. The secondary session of The Learning Lab will include exploration of the Science Center, a planetarium show or a laser show. This program will be using the same health and safety protocols we developed for our summer camp. There will be temperature checks upon arrival.
Science Center Staff will be the supervisors, not the educators. Please do not rely on this Learning Lab for tutoring. Our goal is to help the student focus on their classwork and to provide a safe and motivating environment for their online schooling.
Program will begin August 31st and run until schools welcome children back in-person. Monday-Friday 8am - 2:30pm with a secondary "aftercare" session offered from 2:30-5pm for an additional cost.
